Home Sweet Home

The last Life Update that I really left with you was when my husband and I had our fingers tightly crossed waiting to see if we were going to get the house we so desperately wanted for our family. Since then things have been an absolute whirlwind.

First and foremost, I am over the moon to announce that we got the house! While it may not be everyone’s vision of home, it is perfect for us. The exterior of the home is charming and the yard is big enough to let our dog (and kids) run wild. Inside each of the boys have their very own bedroom with closets big enough to play in! And even though our last apartment had me under the impression that I would never love an open concept home, our kitchen opens up to the living room just enough that it offers separate spaces and a great place to host friends and family.

This has been years in the making you guys!

Our family worked tirelessly to secure ourselves a nest and it’s so comforting to really be able to achieve that goal. Our kids deserve this. We deserve this. I am so thankful for my husband, it truly amazes me the things we can accomplish when we work together. Additionally, I’m so thankful for our friends and family! We had so much help moving and trimming through the jungle of overgrowth in the yard when we moved in. To those that helped get our fence built, fed my burning desire for 1,000 houseplants, and those that made it out for our housewarming party; I cannot thank each of you enough for helping us secure and celebrate our forever home.

Until next time, thanks for reading.
