Eco-Friendly Friday

Did you know that approximately 3.5 billion toothbrushes are sold worldwide each year? How many of those do you think are plastic, destined to sit in a landfill or float through the oceans forever?

This week we’re going to kick off the start to our eco-friendly Fridays with bamboo toothbrushes! I’m sure you’ve seen these trendy little darlings on Amazon, Instagram, or Facebook (or maybe it’s just big brother sending me targeted ads because they know what I’m all about by now). Either way, you’re seeing them now.

My main concern with these toothbrushes was that they would be a little rough and I would end up with a sliver in my tongue or cheek. Not a pretty thought. To my surprise though, they were perfectly smooth and other than the peace of mind that I wouldn’t be tossing out something plastic in a month there wasn’t really much difference. The only other concern that I had was the cost and with the price being just $18.99 for four adult brushes and four kids it was actually a steal. I’ll put the link in here for the Family Pack.

The biggest issue I can see with these is that since they aren’t available in any store near me, I’ll have to remember to order them online in order to keep them in the house. Considering we also get the majority of our other eco-conscious items online though, it shouldn’t be too awfully hard to add these to the order.

Questions? Comments? Leave them below and as always, thanks for reading!
