Positivity Planner

Color me guilty I can be quite the bitter Betty somedays. A real negative Nancy. Even the occasional Debbie downer. I hate it but when I find myself stuck in a funk it can be really difficult to knock myself out of it.

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

The worst part for me is when I can see my bad attitude weighing on someone else’s shoulders and I’m always very careful not to bring that negative energy out into the world when I go to the store or to work. At home though, it’s my comfort zone and the nasty angry mood I have takes it as a free place to roam. Slowly, though, I am trying to beat the beast and practice as much positivity as humanly possible.

Cue this neat little journal I found at WalMart.

It is the “Positivity Planner” and if you know me, then you know that I love planning and I love journals. Making this a win-win, and maybe we can even tack an additional and unnecessary third win to the end of that if it can truly help me start leading a more peaceful and positive existence within these walls I call home.

The inside of the notebook starts with a page for “this year’s resolutions” and leads to week-by-week planning as you can see here (right). With spots for things that I would love to do and need to do and at the end of the week places to focus on the positives of the days past instead of dwell. You’ll notice there are no spots to write what went wrong or didn’t go as planned.

Throughout the journal are also mini-quote pages with things like “memories take us back, dreams take us forward,” and I love the way they break up the structured writing with those quotes as well as note pages.

It’s been a few weeks since I started to journal in this booklet as opposed to my other one, and I’m definitely feeling like mentally I can focus better on the positives in my life than the negatives. Here’s to the rest of 2018 being as sweet as can be. If you’re interested in one of these journals check around the crafting section of your local WalMart!

Passing out positive vibes and as always, thanks for reading!
