Remember that little joke I cracked about not milking the almonds? Well, I may have milked the oats instead.
The other day I was scrolling through a Facebook group when I came across a video from A Virtual Vegan on how to make your own oat milk. Now, I’ve always found making your own milk to be overly ambitious but I am trying to be more conscious of my garbage production and also my wallet so it seemed like the perfect time to try this out. Its definitely helpful that the recipe only required twenty minutes of my time and five ingredients (three of which were optional). Since I don’t have any Medjool dates but I did want it to be sweetened I substituted the date for two tablespoons of real maple syrup.
I have to hand it to Melanie, this recipe is fail proof and not time-consuming at all which will absolutely help me to stick with it. Not to mention the glass bottle look is extra Instagram worthy, am I right? ♥
