Or in the very least, healthier than I ever have been. 2017 was the year that I got my act together and put aside everything and anything that was shaving years off my life.
Sidenote: I totally forgot to post this yesterday for my “fourth day of Christmas.”
Back in November of last year I began m vegetarian journey which pretty quickly transitioned into a vegan diet. Thanks to cutting meat, dairy and eggs from my diet I lost nearly seventy pounds (and weight loss wasn’t even my goal).
This is my unexpected before and after. On top of losing 68lbs, I find that it’s easier to get up in the morning and there are fewer times throughout the day where I feel like I’m running out of energy. (With three kids I can’t honestly say that I never get tired).
Changing how I eat wasn’t the only dramatic change I made in 2017.
This year I also quit drinking alcohol, completely, and I gave up smoking cigarettes (a nasty little habit most people didn’t even know that I had). All together I have never felt better! There is no longer a nicotine addiction dragging me outside in all kinds of weather and I haven’t suffered a hangover in months.
Today I am thankful for my health, this version of myself has been a long time coming.♥ Stay healthy out there and as always, thanks for reading!
