Good morning and Happy Tuesday to everyone!
A nearly empty coffee mug, stormy skies and three little boys covered head to toe in dirt. That is my day so far.
With the boys playing so loud inside the house, it seemed like a good idea to get them out for a bit of fresh air. I grabbed my coffee mug, some bottles of water and three pairs of shoes, then herded them out the door. Of course the shoes didn’t all stay on and half of the water was spit directly into the dirt, but we’ve been having a relatively calm and relaxing time in the backyard. Despite the hitting, kicking, shoving, dirt scooping/dumping and all of the other madness that is.
Our backyard activities have included:
- Filling the bug collector with dirt, grass and ants.
- Throwing around some balls.
- Drumming on upside down sand pails.
- Bouncing on the trampoline.
- Asking when it’s going to rain.
- Lots and lots of running.
It’s been cloudy since before we even came outside but the temperature seems to be dropping now so I’m readying myself to take the wild ones inside at any given instant.
Baby M is currently bouncing on the trampoline telling me all of the things that he wants to be. “I want to be the sun, so I can shine on everybody. Just kidding! I want to be a trampoline.” After a long pause and some brainstorming he just told me that he would actually like to be poop. No explanation given.
I suppose it’s just about time to get the littles in for a bath, so I’ll leave it at that. I hope everyone has a fantastic day.
As always, thanks for reading!
