Take Two: We’re Having A…

I was pretty surprised when the sonogram tech couldn’t determine if we were having a boy or a girl the first time. Fortunately we were luckier our second time around.

Our appointment was for 5:00 PM, which left me watching the clock all day long. When it finally came time to leave for the doctor’s office I was so excited to find out what we can expect in another few months.

Before the sonogram tech even started looking for the gender, I saw it. A wiener. She asked what we have at home and we reminded her that we have two little boys, “now you have three.”

After such long anticipation we now know we are expecting another precious baby boy! While that means I don’t get an excuse to go on a big shopping spree, it does entitle me to start dreaming up baby names for this new little man.

To celebrate, we went to grab a bite and then made our way home to tell our two little boys that they’d have a new little brother not long from now. The toddler had the funniest and sweetest response. As soon as we walked in the door he asked, “did you find out if it’s a baby girl?” (He’s been certain it was a girl all along). We told him that we found out we’re having a boy and that he was going to have another baby brother. In that moment he turned to his uncles and shouted “did you hear it’s gonna’ be a boy?!”

Although I wanted a baby girl very badly, I couldn’t be happier to have found out that we are going to have another baby boy. The reassurance again that our baby is healthy and the knowledge of what we are going to have are the two most amazing feelings. I cannot wait to drum up a name for our little love and see his beautiful face in the future.

Yayyyy!! It’s a boy, it’s a boy, it’s a boy!
