The other day I made four batches of baby food including carrots (previously posted), sweet potatoes, apples and a combination of apples, blueberries and chicken.
Sweet potato baby food is easy to make. First and foremost, you want to scrub, peel and rinse your sweet potatoes. Scrubbing the outside of the sweet potato removes any dirt that may be lingering on it and peeling obviously removes the tough outer skin. Afterwards, chop them into uniform pieces and get them into the steamer.
Because sweet potatoes take a good chunk of time to cook this is a good time to start prepping something else or get an entirely different task out of the way.
Once the sweet potatoes are fork tender, remove them from heat and get them into your blender. Submerge 1/2 of the sweet potatoes in water and blend! All that’s left is getting them into containers and popping them into the freezer!
As always, thanks for reading! ♥
